Mirrors in the Desert
Code of Conduct
- No racism! Or, to be more specific: no real world racism. Fantastical racism is okay, within limits – if your nomad calls a thri-kreen an “annoying bug,” I’m fine, because thri-kreens aren’t real. Nobody is offended. However, considering that the city-states all borrow heavily from various real-world cultures, there’s the potential to engage in offensive stereotypes. Don’t!
- No sexism! In my Athas, all genders are treated equally, and making derogatory comments referring to the sex of another person/creature just doesn’t exist. So don’t!
- Intra-party conflict is okay, within limits. Your character doesn’t have to like everybody in the group equally, but your character does have to work with and support everyone. It’s the nature of an adventuring group. Going off that, your character cannot be actively hostile toward other characters. Not only is it against this board’s rules, it’s also not fun. Just use your common sense: a little friction can be fun, but too much and you’re just ruining a fantasy game. Don’t!
- Speaking of fighting, don’t fight with the other players! If somebody is bothering you, tell me; don’t turn the OOC thread into a drawn out stream of passive-aggressive sniping. Just don’t!
At least once a day, make a sacrificial offering to your DM.
